Herb Garden

Look at this little beauty! I just love it, it really sparkles in person! :-)

Herb Garden: Buttons and Beads

Easter update

Here's the current state of Autumn...she's looking good! The border is going to look very different once I put the beads in -- their colors accent rather than blend with the current ones.

And here is what I worked on while on my trip to Oklahoma City to see Sonja perform in her amazing opera!

Here's Summer! I'm getting close to being done with the skirt!

Finished project and experimenting!

So I finished my margarita buttons and beads kit. I just love all the colors. All the petite beads took forever because they are completed by doing a cross stitch through the bead. And there were a lot of them! But I think it turned out great. It's going to hang in my apartment's kitchen when I retrieve the frame from home.

And this weekend I decided it was about time I taught myself how to knit (more than just basic knit/purl stitches). So here's what has happened. It's a small baby blanket from a pattern I got real cheap last year. I had to consult some youtube videos for some help, but I think I have it figured out! It's about a 30" wide pattern.

A closeup of the design.

6 week update!

Summer is looking well this week!!

Margarita is about 2 days of work away from completion!

And here is St. Nicholas Cathedral...a little blurry, but the flash made the light colors look washed-out.

Monday update!

Well, it's Monday evening! I didn't think I'd gotten much done on the cross stitch this week, but now that I look at it, I guess it's better than nothing!

I made this little beauty this week too:

Celtic Seasons Update #1

Sasha and Sonja started the Lavender and Lace Celtic seasons, Autumn and Summer, on Dec. 20, 2009. We've had all the materials for a while now and were waiting for Christmas break to get some serious stitching done. We took a picture last night after working on it for two weeks. Looking good!

Marie Barber: Happily Ever After

I stitched this pattern starting in the fall of 08 and finished it in summer 09 in time for my friend's wedding. Dad made the gorgeous frame. I'd never heard of this artist before, but I really love how it turned out! Now there's a future heirloom in the family!
